Spending On Tech Staff To Rise By 4.6% in 2021

The rise is due to spurring demand in AI, and Data Science, says an analyst from Forrester

Forrester released data stating that enterprise spending on tech staff would increase by 4.6% this year and 5.4% in the coming year as there is an ongoing talent demand.

  • In 2020, the pandemic led to lay off of IT staff, decreasing the tech staff spending by 3.6%

  • Since the operation model turned remote, there was a need for low code and no code technologies, which raised the demand for web developers and software engineers.

  • The WFH model also gave a spurring demand for security staff to manage the new exposure.

  • According to CompTIA's Cyberstates 2021 report, the software workforce is set to grow by 5% in 2021

  • The remote workspace has the flexibility to hire talent without any geographic boundaries helping tap on more talents.
